MECHANICS - Must have a current CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.

This is highly skilled mechanical work at an advanced level involving the repair and maintenance of all types of automotive/fleet and construction equipment.  The work is characterized by the high degree of complexity, independence, and technical discretion.  The work is performed under the direct/indirect supervision of the Maintenance Superintendent and is reviewed for overall results. 

Advanced knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, equipment and supplies specific to the diagnosis and mechanical repair of systems and components for a wide variety of automotive/fleet and construction equipment.  Advanced knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical/electronic systems common to the construction field.  Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions from repair manuals.  Ability to plan and layout repair and maintenance work independently.  Ability to analyze, diagnose and correct mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and related failures and defects and overhaul components.  Ability to remove, overhaul and reinstall engines.  Ability to maintain routine work records.  Ability to operate a wide variety of automotive/fleet equipment for road testing and operational checks.  Skill in using hand and power tools commonly used in construction repair (e.g. electronic test equipment, brake lathe, hose machine, oxy/acetylene, welder, etc.)

GRADE CHECKERS - Must have valid driver's license and 18 months working experience. Pay rate depends upon experience.

Must have a background in surveying, engineering or mathematics.  Must be able to read and understand plans.  Must be able to read and understand surveying notes.  Must be able to accurately slope stake cuts and fills.  Must be able to grade check for underground work.  Must have a working knowledge of surveying equipment and use of lasers.  Knowledge of the current GPS and LPS systems helpful, however we will train on these systems.  Must be willing to travel, must have own reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

FINISH BLADE - Must have 5 to 7 years FINISH Blade experience Must be able to read and understand slope stakes. Must be able to finish all types of materials – from sub grade up. GPS capabilities recommended but not required.
