M.A. DeAtley is presently seeking a Survey Manager for overseeing survey related tasks on multiple highway, landfill, and site development projects within the Northwest.  The Survey Manager would work closely with project managers and project superintendents to ensure that the project specific grade checkers have all the proper information to stake the project.

Duties include: developing grade control files, performing initial survey layout, trouble-shooting GPS problems, on-site training of grade checkers, and grade checking as needed on specific projects.  Survey Manager would be responsible for overseeing the GPS automated blade systems.

Must be able to work independently, follow directions and safety rules; be willing to work long hours as needed; must be able to do some traveling although position is based out of Clarkston WA; strong computer skills with knowledge of MS Word/Excel; and strong communication skills.   Experience in Surveying/Grade Checking required.

This position includes highly skilled mechanical work and maintenance of all types of automotive/fleet and construction equipment.  Must be knowledgeable in fueling procedures.  Will assist mechanic as necessary.  Must be knowledgeable of the mechanical functions of all types of automotive/fleet and basic construction equipment.  Must have knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical/electronic systems common to the construction field.  Must have the ability to read, understand and carry out instructions from repair manuals.  Must have the ability to plan and layout maintenance work independently.  Must have the ability to maintain routine work records efficiently and completely.  Must have the ability to operate a wide variety of automotive/fleet equipment for road testing and operational checks.  Skill in using hand and power tools commonly used in construction repair (e.g. electronic test equipment, oxy/acetylene, welder, etc.).   All work is performed under the direct/indirect supervision of the Lead Mechanic and is reviewed for overall results.
